A small full-stack app for tracking personal expenses, deployed behind IIS on a Windows Server. Focused on authentication, data validation, and simple, reliable deployment.
I help keep systems reliable, secure, and usable.
I’m an Information Systems Technician and soon-to-be BS graduate focused on infrastructure, endpoint management, and high-quality end-user support. I enjoy solving real problems for real people, with a strong emphasis on doing things the right way.
Who I am
I bridge the gap between end-users, infrastructure, and security by combining hands-on technical skills with clear communication and documentation.
I’m Christopher Montelongo, an Information Systems student and IT technician based in the DFW area. I’ve worked across helpdesk, infrastructure, and operations—supporting Windows environments, Microsoft 365, networking equipment, and line-of-business applications.
I enjoy taking messy, unclear technical problems and turning them into well-documented, repeatable solutions. My experience spans:
- • Day-to-day support for users across different departments and skill levels
- • Troubleshooting authentication, connectivity, and endpoint issues
- • Working with vendors, IT leadership, and cross-functional teams
- • Building a security-conscious approach into everyday IT operations
Outside of work and school, I spend time building out my home lab, working through security platforms like TryHackMe, and refining my understanding of how real-world systems behave under load, failure, and attack.
I’m especially interested in roles where I can:
- • Support and harden infrastructure at scale
- • Own problems from ticket to resolution and documentation
- • Grow into more advanced security or infrastructure engineering work
What I work with
A mix of infrastructure, endpoint, networking, and security-oriented skills I use in school, work, and my home lab.

Selected work & labs
A few examples that show how I think about infrastructure, security, and building useful tools.
Inventory management app built for a real muffler shop, modeled with proper database design, JavaFX UI, and DAO pattern for clean separation of concerns.
Ongoing hands-on work in lab environments covering recon, basic exploitation concepts, Windows security hardening, and blue-team perspectives on monitoring and incident response.
Validated knowledge
Industry certifications that back up my hands-on experience in support and infrastructure.
